I listen to individuals everyday expressing their heartfelt emotions as to the fatigue, anxiety, brain fog and depression they are experiencing.

Millions have found their personal lives plunged into a type of darkness that seems endless and even hopeless at times.  Mainstream medicine offers a plethora of options that focus strongly around pharmaceutical intervention.  All of these recommendations contain within them a litany of side effects that many times are worse than the original condition being treated. The side effects of these medicines have many searching for safer options.

I have been involved in holistic healing and nutrition for almost four decades and I am firmly convinced that these challenging emotions within us are not only uncomfortable but also sets the stage for future physical disease.

Chief Seattle long ago said, “Man does not weave this web of life. He is merely a strand of it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself.

The mind and the body are not separate entities. Share on X

The mind and the body are not separate entities. Painful emotions that are buried within us direct messages to the physical body that creates increased pain, inflammation and disease. Distilling this down to a practical level means that the weak link in many unhealthy individuals is the emotional body and until this is at peace and healed, optimal health may not be possible regardless of all efforts.

Carl Jung once wrote, “People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own Soul.”

The options for those interested in alternative holistic options ranges from herbs, amino acids, homeopathic and nutritional. I have great confidence in using many natural remedies to assist in getting through tough parts of a day or week. Products such as AnxioCalm which is for the relief of occasional anxiety and restless sleep. (To learn more about AnxioCalm click here.)

I also recommend using GABA during the night if you wake up with an over thinking mind or SAMe and tryptophan for modest depression along with fish oils for improving brain function.

However despite all the benefits of these remedies to help manage the day to day ups and downs, the only true long term cure may only be found in reconnecting with our own soul. Looking inward into the conscious and subconscious parts that make up the “me” can be daunting, especially without guidance. However I would like to offer you a wonderful opportunity to pursue healing on this path in the privacy of your own home.

Last year I stumbled upon a psychiatrist name Dr. Kelly Brogan and she has risen to the top of my list for her wise forward thinking as to mental health. Dr Brogan evolved from her own personal journey of years of emotional struggles that were destructive to her life, health and quality of her existence. She not only has gained vast knowledge through her medical training but has the rare gift of wisdom which is a powerful combination.

Dr Brogan speaks and writes so eloquently as she talks about the weakness of treating emotional issues with pharmaceutical drugs and uses the phrase, “anti-depressants often divorce us from our own soul”. There are times in our lives when short runs with these drugs are warranted however far too many individuals stay on them for decades because their underlying issues are never addressed. This link will give you a three minute explanation of Dr Brogan’s feelings on treating depression.

The most exciting news I want to shout from the rooftop is that Dr Brogan has just launched an online program called “CALM BODY-CLEAR MIND” that offers the promise of finally finding a way to activate the self healing within us that has been eluding so many for so long. I want to encourage everyone who is struggling with emotionally driven issues and chronic illness to click on the link and read about Dr Brogan and her online Calm Body-Clear Mind program.

Till next time
