February is American Heart Month. Heart disease remains the number one cause of death in the United States. This class will include a heart healthy recipe demonstration with taste testing. Both vegan and meat variations of the recipe will be prepared, so meat eaters and vegans alike are welcome! Education on how diet impacts heart health will be given during the demonstration, as well as practical tips that you can start applying to your own grocery shopping and cooking. This class is great for anyone struggling with managing their cholesterol or blood pressure, anyone who want to be proactive about their heart health, or anyone who wants to learn a simple, healthy recipe. Participants will receive a print out of the recipe used, an outline of what is discussed, and a serving of the meal that is prepared.
