Ayurveda is an ancient health system from India that promotes balance and proper living. It’s wise, insightful, and applicable today for all people seeking complementary care for holistic health. At this introductory class, you’ll learn your Ayurvedic body type, the fundamental health guidelines that all people can (and should) follow, and how to personalize your daily routine for YOUR health (because everyone is different and has unique needs). You’ll learn health tips your entire family can utilize to balance gut health, sleep, reproductive health, and overall wellness, throughout life. You’ll have some a-ha moments when you learn about undigested food waste, called ‘ama’, a simple concept unique to Ayurveda. You’ll also gain some understanding about what makes each body type tic, and how to recognize, and motivate, each type. Overall, this class offers a ton of info on daily living and an 18-page booklet called ‘My Personalized Ayurvedic Health Plan’, which is yours to take home!

Jennifer Maklan is the founder of Chattanooga Ayurveda, a classical Āyurveda practice. She guides busy, over-worked professionals in holistic methods that improve their digestion and overall health, so they can live strong, travel easily, socialize comfortably and build meaningful relationships. She completed the Svastha Ācarya Program at ĀYU Academy and the Samudra Āyurvedic Physicians Program and sees clients at her Chattanooga office on Georgia Ave as well as online.
